Payroll Administrator at BGA in Gävle

BGA is a fast-growing e-commerce company currently active in 36 markets across Europe. Our range includes over 20,000 unique products, both online and in our stores.

We are looking for a technically skilled and driven payroll administrator who wants to take primary responsibility for the payroll process in a growing organization - on-site in Gävle!

About the Role

You will have primary responsibility for payroll management and ensure that the process is correct, efficient, and well-structured. You are responsible for ensuring that payroll management maintains high quality and complies with applicable laws and agreements. The role also involves developing the working methods going forward, working more data-driven, and ensuring quality through structure and follow-up.

In addition to payroll, some other accounting tasks are included, and you will, of course, receive support from colleagues on more complex accounting issues.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll administration according to laws and agreements (approximately 150 payrolls) for both salaried employees and workers
  • Manage government reporting (e.g., AGI, Fora/Collectum, SCB) and pension management
  • Support to managers regarding payroll, vacation laws, parental pay, sickness absence, and system issues
  • Handling of time reporting, travel expenses, and reimbursements
  • Actively work in Excel for follow-up and analysis
  • Be involved in continuously improving and streamlining our processes

We are looking for someone who

  • Has completed a YH education in payroll or equivalent post-secondary education
  • Has good knowledge of Excel
  • Is communicative and can answer payroll-related questions internally in a pedagogical manner
  • Has a basic understanding of accounting
  • Is technically inclined and quickly adapts to new systems
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with clear deadlines
  • Is structured, self-driven, and responsible

Meritorious:

  • Experience with Visma Lön 600, Personalkollen, or similar systems
  • Experience in implementing a new payroll system
